  8. I'm just curious---maybe my kids are really far behind or I'm just a horrible teacher but do you do the tally marks and the numeric date for the students on the above charts and let them copy it in their journal or are they doing this on their own?

  9. I totally love this! Thank you for the idea!

  10. Jennifer.....I have the charts printed off and laminated. They are attached to my calendar board and I change the date and tallies, daily, with a dry erase marker during our whole group math lesson. Then, when students go to math workstations, they simply copy. Some can do it on their own...but most use the charts I have posted! :) Hope that helps!

  13. I love this! Awesome! Is there anyway that you could put a capital at the beginning of each one of those phrases? I think that that would be even more perfect. Thanks for thinking about it.

  14. Stacey, it's the font I used that did that. I'll be happy to change the font to include a capital letter...just let me know where to send it! :)

  15. Thank you so so much for sweetly sharing this page with us. I plan to use it with my kinder. this coming school year. I am wondering if there is an updated version with the 2012/2013 printed (for the child to circle) or if there is a way I should change it. Thanks so much!

  25. I love blogs! I just recently started being a blog addict (early Dec.). I am so glad I found them! I am especially happy to join your site.
I have never heard of calendar journals. What a great way to get more out of calendar then plain ol' days of the week and what is date. Thanks so much for sharing this great idea. I cannot wait to try it!

  26. I would like to use this form for my homeschool morning board routine. Will you by any chance change the year to be 2013/2014 or make an editable worksheet?

    Thank you,
