Eric Carle deal and a freebie!

Hey hey! I just got home from a little shopping trip to Kohl's where I scored these...for a whopping $2.50 each! I just love the Kohl's Care books. Hello half price! :)
I bought a few sets (1 for my classroom and a few others for gifts) and I bought The Very Busy Spider and sheep, too!
These were the only two books my store had left but I racked up! What teacher doesn't love Eric Carle and a sale? Anyways....I'm writing to tell you to either A) get on Kohl's website and order these NOW..which I believe all the books are sold out, only plush is left or B) go to Kohl's pronto and buy some. They're great for book buddies, reading center, retelling, or gifts! And you cannot beat the "set" for $5.00 total.

I do a lot with Brown Bear, Brown Bear during the first few weeks of school. You can view my colors unit post below. I've also included a few other blogs that have some great printables and freebies to go along with this unit. Just click the links to visit.

My mom is such a great sponsor-she'll pick up a few when she goes. The kids love the stuffed animals-I use them as a "buddy" to take home and write about. You can't beat that it's for charity either.

I want to THANK YOU! Due to some unexpected financial 'biggies' in the past two months, I'm currently counting my pennies. This also means I have been stressing about what I'm going to get my kinders for an end of the year gift that won't 'break the bank'. Your post sent me to my nearest Kohl's...and I was able to snag a bear for each child! :) Thank you BEARY much! :)

Hey Erin,
I remembered this post (I got my own Brown Bear on clearance) after I went to Kohl's today. Kohl's is now featuring Skippyjon Jones! They have the first four books in hardcover, Skippyjon and the Bumblebeeto. I had to have him, he's my first love. I'm glad he hasn't heard about the three Pete the Cat books I bought the other day! I don't blog, but I thought you might want to spread the word since you share this passion for their book characters.

I also love Kohls books. I have way to many books too. I buy them because I know 100% goes to the children. I also scored last month. They had them available online and I got brown bear and Are Kangaroos Mother's Too along with the plushes for 2.50 each. Those were my gifts to my preschoolers. I can't wait to see the Skippy Jones ones. Thanks for the heads up and for the freebie. God Bless. Mrs. Valerie
