As you all know, I've been painting my classroom. Holy nightmare! 3 Lowes trips, 8 cans of paint, and 2 1/2 weeks later - I'm done! Stick me with fork and mark my word...I will never paint a thing again. I will hire it done. ha Anyways...because we had to take EVERYTHING down, I'm now working to put everything back up, slowly. My thought is - I don't want to come back in to my room in August and be overwhelmed with re assembling my entire classroom. So I'm doing a few things here and there when time allows. The new green walls, white trim, and black book shelves and doors look amazing. Who knew my room could look so fresh and clean? I LOVE IT!
Good bye dull-ow!
The start of something long great!
My calendar wall and reference wall.
Charts for math and literacy workstations.
All that is lacking from this board are my "writer's eyes!" I found the cutest hot pink hoops I'm going to buy. They'll go perfect! Popcorn words.
Brick before...
Bricks after. What a difference a few coats of white paint can make. MUCH better.
Doors before.
Doors after! (My flash distorted the paint color a little) I plan on buying metal to go in the insets of the doors so I can utilize it as a magnet center or for word work. Pictures to come! Off to clean a few paint brushes and then lay by the pool. IT'S ABOUT TIME! :) Happy Summer!

My room is exactly that shade of green! The bottom of the room is painted to look like grass and hills, the top is sky blue with clouds and such. The coolest thing about this shade of green?: there is masking tape to match! :-)

Your room looks great. I painted my shelves a couple of summers ago and the paint kept going for some reason to walls and everything else!! It looks so much "brighter"~ Now enjoy your summer!

Looks fantastic! I love you "Writer's Eye" bulletin board! I would love to have that!
It looks great! I painted my classroom 2 summers ago. I will never do it again either! have you thought about magnetic paint for your doors? I've used it and it really does work! You can also paint over it, so everything is the same color, but still magnetic! I am your newest follower!
